اين نوع ابزار به عنوان رابطي است که برقو به وسيله آن بتوان به طور دست و يا ماشين برقو کاري مورد استفاده قرار گيرد.
برقو:
برقو ابزار است که در موارد سوراخ هاي که با مته مارپيچ سوراخ کاري مي شود ديواره اين سوراخ دقيق و سطوح داخلي آن ناصاف مي باشد کاربرد دارد و مي تواند سوراخ هايي دقيق و با اندازه تلرانسي و صافي سطح زياد هستند با ماگزيمم عمق براده برداري برقوها تا 0.3 ميلي متر است و برقو ها را از جنس فولاد ابزار سازي ويا فولاد تندبر مي سازند و برقو ها از دو قسمت اصلي تشکيل شده اند لبه هاي برنده و دنباله مي باشد و لبه برنده آن از دو قسمت تشکيل شده است مخروطي(با شيب کم) براي براده برداري و قسمت استوانه اي آن وظيفه هدايت برقو و پرداخت سطح کار را برعهده دارد و تعداد لبه هاي برنده برقو به صورت زوج بود مثال 6 تا 18 لبه مي باشد و هرچه قدر تعداد لبه هاي برقو زيادتر باشند براي قطعات سخت تري استفاده مي شود و فاصله لبه هاي برقو بايد مساوي و يکنواخت و لبه هاي برقو بايد مقابل يک ديگر در يک قطر قرار گيرند.
